From Santos to the World: The Logistics That Protect Your Production Lines

A large ICUMSA 45 contract is only paper until the vessel leaves port. In commodity trading, the result is measured by execution, not by the signature.

Brazil is the world’s largest sugar exporter. During peak shipping season at hubs such as the Port of Santos, rail congestion, berth availability and customs procedures can delay a cargo. For the buyer, a late vessel means stopped production lines and missed commitments to its own customers.

How we manage the pipeline

  • Preparation. Goods are prepared and delivered to the port of loading within 15 calendar days of the payment guarantee being confirmed.
  • Inspection. SGS certifies quality and quantity before loading, and issues the hold cleanliness and suitability certificate.
  • Shipment. CIF Incoterms® 2020, with marine insurance under Institute Cargo Clauses (A) for 110% of the invoice value.
  • Documents. Scanned shipping documents within two business days of loading. Originals are released after payment.

The goal is predictability: the buyer knows what arrives, when, and with which documents.

We are structuring 12-month CIF programmes and spot shipments for qualified buyers. Request an offer or review our trading procedure.
